About Her and Her Cat

Her online handle for many years now has been Munin, although she was born as Melissa. She is Pices and a dragon, having been born on February 22nd, 1988. Go dragons!

She enjoys web designing and relaxing. She does a lot of relaxing. Videogames and anime used to be a big part of her life until she realized "Holy crap, the world is huge!" and persued broader interests. She loves talking to JD (<3) and loves her cat, Simba. You know. From the Lion King? The son of Mufasa? Learn more

December 9th, 2007 Bad Behavior should be Punished

I thought I should make a pun out of one of the more popular WordPress plugins, Bad Behavior, in the title. So I did.

But honestly, it should be punished. I tried to blog earlier through Windows Live Writer (I love that app so much) and I kept getting an error. WLW told me to log in but no matter how many tries, it didn’t work.

So I thought “Well, maybe the program is screwy.” When I was logging into my WordPress through Firefox, Bad Behavior spits out a message telling me my IP has been blocked and I should contact the administrator (then it lists my email publicly, thanks) for help.

Well, um. That’s kind of weird to contact myself. I’m the administrator and I was blocked from my own blog. Really. What the Hell.

I don’t have viruses (virii?) and I clean out any adware / spyware (even if it’s just tracking cookies) often on my computer. I take great care of my baby.

I ended up going to the Bad Behavior website and logging in via FTP to reupload the plugin.

That was very inconvenient, dammit.

Oh yeah. Look at my alien! =3

4 Peaches to “Bad Behavior should be Punished”

  1. Bad, bad plugin!

Must just be a glitch. Weeeeird.

  2. I wouldn’ t try a plugin that says “Bad Behavior” if I were you. But then again, it’s supposed to be used to reduce spam right? Well, I use Akismet and it works wonderfully. You should automatically have that plugin. You just need a Wordpress API key. To get one, you’ll have to create an account on Wordpress, but I think it’s worth it, since it caught so much spam for me.

  3. Just checking to see if I can comment now~
I loved Taren, btw. Her inexplicable obsession with rain puddles was adorable. ^-^

  4. What, no post for the new theme? Hm.
